With 36 years of varied learning, diverse professional experience and great wisdom, Major General N P Padhi, brings to us an invaluable wealth of knowledge. A topper right through his learning life cycle, with distinguished grading, he is a rare combination of a tough soldier and an accomplished teacher, in as dispirit disciplines as Combat, (Commando), Engineering and Project Management. He has also done MMS from the Osmania University.

With his varied, long and exceptional services, it was but natural that Gen Padhi was entrusted with the responsibility of leading both combat engineering as well as peace time engineering, (Military Engineering Services), of the entire Southern Command, (The biggest Command), of the Army, as its Chief Engineer. No soldier leaves his sports behind and so has not Gen Padhi. He has remained a model in physical fitness even at the age of 57.

This exceptional Army Officer, belonging to the Corps of Engineers, has many a gold medal and commendations to his credit. As the Col Commandant of the Military Engineering Service, (MES), there is no better placed person to talk about that Service. Gen Padhi will speak on the Project Management Challenges faced by the MES and the ways and means of overcoming them.
